NBA Trade Rumors – Rumors are circulating around the Bay Area that GM Bob Myers and the Warriors front office are potentially moving Andrew Wiggins in order to acquire 2-time Slam Dunk Champion, Zach LaVine.

Lavine is widely speculated to be the Warriors’ top priority. Warriors GM Bob Myers may already be making the necessary adjustments to the organization to make this happen.

Here’s an idea of the deal breakdown of the proposed Zach LaVine trade should it actually push through this season:

Warriors receive: Zach LaVine

Warriors give up: Wiggins and their 2021 and 2023 future first round draft picks

Among the current Warriors roster, Wiggins is the most dispensable. If they want Zach Lavine, then Wiggins will be the one with the most worth to the Chicago Bulls. The Golden State Warriors had high expectations from Wiggins last season but has failed to launch since. Retaining Wiggins within the Warriors franchise might actually hurt them more than it could actually do them good.

The Warriors had been forced to adjust their playing style last season due to the absence of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. While Draymond Green pretty much stayed healthy the entire season, Steve Kerr had to make do with Ky Bowman, Omari Spellman, Eric Paschall, Marqueese Chriss, Jordan Poole, and Andrew Wiggins.

But Steve Kerr is no longer a stranger to these circumstances. With Zach Lavine in the picture, despite losing Klay to another horrendous season-ending injury, having this powerful stud within the lineup can be the jolt of lightning the Warriors need.

Zach Lavine is the third star the Warriors need if they want to dominate the Western Conference and grind their way back to Championship contention. Acquiring Zach Lavine gives them a legitimate chance to rise within the conference standings and reach the 2020-2021 playoff berth.

Lavine is a real offensive force. Last season, he averaged 25.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 dimes, was 45% from the field, and 38% from three-point range. He is also an efficient scorer with a very impressive 57% true shooting percentage which is important to high volume scoring teams such as Golden State.

Lavine is reliable and highly capable of offensive brilliance. When he dropped 49 points against the Hornets last year, everyone is reminded how much of a scorer he is. He made thirteen jaw-dropping threes, which is the second-most in NBA history. That game, Lavine was just one mark shy of tying with Klay’s personal record. Lavine’s shooting arsenal, efficiency, and consistency will definitely complement Steph and the Warriors on the shooting front.

If Zach Lavine does end up in Golden State, he will be around with a much stronger cast and will be molded to a culture of a championship-caliber team. This could be enough to fully unleash Lavine’s potential this year. With his level of work ethic and as someone who possesses a great player mentality, he is someone who can rise up to the occasion, and step up for big moments. And Zach Lavine can be the X-factor the Warriors need.
